I only saw Iron Man 2 the other day (had to avoid the internets for a while, it was just about worth it) and it got me thinking what about the next Marvel films, Avengers, Cap, Thor and if they'll be any good. It's weird, I appreciate the actors that's been cast (Hugo Weaving has to be great as Red Skull) but I was thinking about how the characters will work on film, especially in the Jon Favreau realistic-ish universe, which I guess I'm using as a template for the rest of the films as he's producing. The usual stuff, Captain America being a guy lost in time who throws a shield, and then there's Thor, an actual god. And they are going in that direction, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige says: "we're doing the Jack Kirby/Stan Lee/Walt Simonson/J. Michael Straczynski 'Thor".
Sweet. That was a great run, I'd love to see that on the big screen. I'd imagine they'll use Ragnarök the same as JMS, Thor and co. getting used to the world after being away for a while. They might even throw in this scene if we're lucky.

Although I doubt movie Iron Man really deserves that :) Anyway, what do you guys think? How would Cap and Iron Man react to a God showing up?
Speaking of Cap, getting Cap to look and act great on screen is a tricky, tricky thing, see exhibit A:
Man, he's really struggling against guns there. However it's not impossible:
The trailer above is pretty good, although it got a bit crazy near the end, kinda like a Captain America sequel to Inglorious Bastards (that's probably more awesome than crazy). I always thought of Cap as being a noble, nice guy, a badass that you could take home to meet the mother kind of thing. No Ultimates Cap for me please (I'd let them away with the A standing for France thing). Also, I'd be okay with him having a gun, though I doubt the film will go the whole Bucky-Captain America route. Cap in my opinion is the most difficult to pull off, just because it's hard to imagine him being a believable threat in the real world. The film has me the most excited, just to see how they go about it.
As for Hulk, I'm not really sure. Ed Norton was pretty burned by Marvel, but he's says he'd be happy to come back, even to have Hulk as the villain, and I think Hulk could work well. While the film wasn't fantastic, I could see it working. An ultimates Loki, manipulating from behind the scenes, getting the Hulk to fight the Avengers. If Norton doesn't return, I wonder who could play him?
Anyway, this post was meant to be little more that asking what you guys thought about the next few film and some legality scans, it's kinda turned into a rant. tl;dr What is everyone's thoughts on the matter? How do you think the Avengers will turn out?
